Unlike many other less expensive brands on the market, the Respironics GO2 is made the USA and comes with a 2 year manufacturer warranty. It is also designed for easy use and a long life. The Respironics GO2 has a simple automatic on/off function; insert your finger into the sensor, and the unit comes on. Remove your finger and the unit turns itself off. The LCD display is orientated to make reading the display easy while it is gathering data. The Respironics GO2 requires no other accessories to operate and it will give you pulse oximetry readings quickly, usually within a matter of seconds! Also, a pulse indicator on the screen lets you know that you are getting a good reading. The single AAA battery is easy to replace and remaining battery power is displayed on the screen when the unit is on.

Need a More Robust Solution?
While the Respironics GO2 is an ideal pulse oximeter for a number of applications, we recommend the Nonin Onyx® 9500 or the Onyx® II 9550 for those patients who require a more stout, clinical-grade unit. The Respironics GO2 will handle most situations, but those who are dependent on oxygen therapy may find that the Onyx® series pulse oximeters from Nonin will give them a higher level of service when it really matters. The Onyx® series of pulse oximeters are made to withstand the rigors of clinical, hospital and EMT use whereas the Respironics GO2 is specifically designed for periodic at-home monitoring. With its inexpensive price tag, however, the Respironics GO2 can be carried as a backup pulse oximeter to a main unit like the Nonin Onyx® series.
